Professor David Weisburd on Crime Hot Spots
2010-06-17Professor David Weisburd, who was awarded the 2010 Stockholm Prize in Criminology on June 15, spoke of his research on crime hot spots during the Symposium in June. His findings are presented in a new report which was published in conjunction with the Symposium. The report, Importance of Place in Policing, offers inspiration for police organizations looking to shift the focus from persons to place-based crime prevention.

Successful 2010 Symposium!
2010-06-17This year's Symposium was a success attracting more than 600 delegates from over 30 countries. The over-arching themes were Improving Policing and Contemporary Criminology. We would like to thank all delegates and speakers for contributing and making the Symposium a successful event!
