Nominations
The nomination period has now expired and the Prize Office can no longer accept nominations for the 2011 Prize.
All nominations received will be handed to the international jury for consideration.

The procedure
Each year, the jury invites nominating bodies from around the world to suggest candidates for the prize. Nominations received in any previous years are included in consideration for each new year's Prize selections unless the nomination is withdrawn or the nominee become ineligible. Nominators from any previous year are invited to submit a revised or updated nomination in electronic form by email at any time.
Nominations may be made by:
- three individual criminologists*
- any society of criminology
- other organizations applying or producing criminology.
* The Prize Office defines anyone who has published research articles or books on crime or justice, taught the subject in a university or applied it in a leadership position in a public or private agency, a criminologist.
Rules of nomination
The official nomination form must be used for nominations, which must be made in English. The work to which reference is made in the nomination does not have to be in English, but an abstract in English for the works listed in the reference list is requested.
The nominee must be a living physical person, able to receive the prize in person and give an acceptance speech. Please note that you can not nominate yourself.
